In a world where stories travel faster than ever — across screens, airwaves, and devices — the voice remains one of the most powerful storytelling tools we have. And here in Cebu, we believe some of the best voices are still waiting to be heard.
That’s why Room Eleven Studios, in partnership with Co-Lab Cebu, is once again opening its doors for VOICE LAB 3, a two-day Voice Acting and Voice Over Workshop happening this May 17–18 at Room Eleven Studios.
Now on its third edition, VOICE LAB continues its mission to uncover and sharpen the vocal talents hiding in plain sight. Whether you’re a curious beginner, a content creator, a performing artist, or someone who’s always been told you “have a nice voice” — this is your opportunity to step up to the mic and discover what’s possible.

Why Voice Lab?
The global demand for voice talent has exploded in recent years. Opportunities now span across animation, audiobooks, video games, digital advertising, educational content, infomercials, and localized media. With the rise of platforms like YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, and podcasting, voice is more than ever a medium of influence, emotion, and storytelling.
But talent alone isn’t enough — technique, industry knowledge, and a safe space to explore are just as essential. That’s what VOICE LAB offers.

The Workshop Breakdown
- Day 1: Foundations of Voice Acting with veteran voice actor Earnest Buzon — Learn performance techniques, vocal character development, and how to bring scripts to life.
- Day 2: Voice Over Techniques and Monetization Strategies with seasoned voice artist and host Claire Codilla — Get insights on vocal branding, industry standards, and how to turn your skills into income.
- Bonus Session: The Science of Voice — led by audio producer and Room Eleven founder Cattski Espina, this session dives into Voice Frequency, The Proximity Effect, and other technical essentials every voice artist needs to master when working in a studio environment.
All sessions culminate in a real-world application: participants will step into a professional recording booth and record actual scripts, gaining hands-on experience and materials they can use to begin or build their voice portfolio.

The Cebu Advantage
What gives Cebu’s talents a unique edge in this global industry? Linguistic versatility.
Cebu-based voice artists often have a natural fluency in multiple languages and accents — from neutral English and American-accented delivery to Tagalog and Cebuano. This adaptability opens more doors for local talents in a multilingual, multicultural market. It’s an underrated superpower that many international clients actively look for.
And beyond language, Cebu is home to a creative spirit — a city full of artists, storytellers, and performers with something to say. There is so much talent here — raw, expressive, and ready. VOICE LAB aims to be a bridge between that raw potential and the professional voice industry waiting on the other side.
“There’s a lot of untapped power in the voices we hear around us every day,” says Cattski Espina. “We created VOICE LAB to show people that their natural talent, with the right guidance, can open doors they never even knew existed.”

This Is Where It Starts
