Electronic music has been the current trend these days, especially for the younger generation. Electronic music artists like Zedd, Daft Punk and Calvin Harris are definitely on top of their game and at the height of their music careers.  In the local scene, electronic music is also on the rise. Local artists are currently making good music.  Some of them you’ve probably even heard on the radio.

After our Sonic Youth Workshop, a music  production for beginners, we’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about holding a similar workshop, but this time designed for electronic music production.

Room Eleven Recording Studio in cooperation with 22 Tango Records proudly brings you MIDI & ME: Electronic Music Workshop with Music Producer CARLISLE TABANERA this  July 14, 2018, Saturday. It’s a whole day workshop designed for musicians having a strong interest in electronic music.

Carlisle’s body of work include singles of Claudia Barretto, Donny Pangilinan, Sinulog Foundation (Official 2018 Remix) and Malaya Macaraeg.  He also produced the Binibining Cebu runway anthem together with David Cua and Jayniel Enriquez. Currently, he’s working with Kadasig and Viva Records.

The workshop is a three-phase session that provides information on the most current approach in composing and producing contemporary electronic music. The workshop schedules are from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon for the morning session, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm for the the afternoon session, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm for practical application and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm for the evening session.

Carlisle will also discuss the various aspects of electronic music production including beats, sampling, MIDI editing, effects processing, sound design and mastering.

Participants will be given an opportunity to apply what they learned through a hands-on group activity where they can collaborate and create music from scratch.

The workshop will end with a presentation of the participants’ works.

MIDI & ME will be held here at our studio – Room Eleven Recording Studio at The Annex, Mango Square Mall, Gen. Maxilom Avenue. Slots are limited at PHP 1,800 each, so don’t wait!
